Cooper Center for Healing

The Cooper Center for Healing is an integrated center that provides innovative, compassionate care for patients with substance use disorder, pain, trauma, and psychiatric disorders. The center’s medical specialists in addiction medicine, toxicology, emergency medicine (EM) and emergency medical services (EMS), internal medicine, family medicine, and psychiatry provide interdisciplinary specialty care in the hospital, ambulatory, and community settings. The center also has a robust interdisciplinary clinical team of behavioral health clinicians, nurses, and navigator specialists who offer wraparound services to patients in a biopsychosocial model, including helping them to address social determinants of health (SDOH). CMSRU Student Organizations

Food Recovery Network provides pastries from a local bakery for Thursday outreaches. CMSRU Outreach Alliance provides harm reduction items (naloxone, fentanyl test strips) and student volunteers. Brown Paper Bag Project brings sacked lunches. Street Medicine reaches out to community members surrounding the outreach and helps connect those who would benefit from our services. Colin’s Wish

Since the loss of her son in 2017, Colin’s mom has been on the street spreading Colin’s love amongst those less fortunate. The Colin’s Wish team hosts a dinner at the family shelter every third Tuesday and has been on the street every third Saturday since the passing of her son. This amazing team offers food, clothing, hygiene products, tents, blankets, tarps, and whatever else is needed for street living and loves to spoil the moms & children at Anna Sample. Colin’s Wish practices peace, love and harm reduction and believes all lives matter!

The Camden County Office of Mental Health and Addiction receives state and county funding to ensure the availability of treatment services, particularly for the indigent. Access Wireless is a service provider for the government-funded Lifeline Assistance program. They provide free 4G LTE mobile phones with plans for talk, text, and data. Must have a valid ID.

Rowan School of Veterinary Medicine Shelter Medicine and Community Outreach

Currently, Rowan School of Veterinary Medicine Shelter Medicine and Community Outreach offers pet pantry services (wet and dry food) for dogs and cats along with common pet supplies such as treats, food & water bowls, bedding, toys, leashes, walking harnesses, collars, cat litter and cat carriers. In the future, our veterinary students will help improve access to preventative veterinary care for many pets and their families in Camden. Visit their website for more information.
